INITIATIVE TO GET OUT THE VOTE

ABOUT CIRCLE OF 10

Sadly, the United States trails most developed countries when it comes to voter turnout. Even in the historic 2016 presidential election, just over half (56%) of the voting-age population performed their civic duty of choosing their government leaders. That doesn’t sit right with us at Convention of States, and it shouldn’t sit right with you, either!

But don’t just hang your head in despair; be part of the solution! Through the Convention of States Circle of 10 Initiative, you can truly make a difference. By contacting just 10 people you already know well, you can do your part to get responsible Americans back to the polls.

And it couldn’t be simpler.

START YOUR CIRCLE OF 10!

Let us know you’ll participate by clicking the button below and telling us who you plan to contact. Can’t think of 10? That’s o.k.! Any number of contacts you make will be helpful and appreciated.

Sometime before October 15th, contact your Circle members to remind them of the importance of voting and make sure they are registered to vote. A sample script is provided below, along with instructions for helping contacts get registered.

Let us know each time you make a contact. We’ll be tracking the numbers to let our state teams know how they’re doing.

4 : FOLLOW UP

During the last two weeks of October, follow up with contacts who weren’t registered. See if they need any additional assistance.

5 : FINAL PUSH

Make a final contact with your circle members to make sure they will vote and remind them to vote early. Ask if they need help with transportation.
